Changelog¶

This page records what changed in Packr, one entry per week, newest first. It is updated every week.

Each entry covers a Monday-to-Sunday week and is grouped into New (capabilities that did not exist before), Improved (existing things that work better or differently), and Fixed (bugs corrected). Changes that are purely internal — performance work, infrastructure, and behind-the-scenes data plumbing — are not listed.

August 24–30, 2026¶

New

• Knowledge is now just Drive. Articles, files, links, and folders live in one browser instead of separate Context and Drive tabs, and the navigation item is now called Drive. Nothing was moved or deleted, old links still work, and new Type and Brand filters plus a Search in Drive box narrow a large library fast. See Drive overview.
• Act on many Drive items at once. Select several items and a bar appears with Move, Access, Brands, and Delete, plus Select all for everything your filters are showing. Mixed selections show an "on some" state so you only change what you mean to. See Drive.
• Pax answers from your uploaded files. Pax now reads the text of PDFs, plain text, Markdown, CSV files, and common image formats in your Drive, not just written articles, and shows a source card you can open for each document it drew on. Access rules are unchanged — Pax never answers from a brand's material you cannot already see. See Asking questions.
• Try asking Pax. Drive suggests questions built from your own content; select one to open Pax with it ready to send.
• Watch Pax work. While Pax puts an answer together it lists the steps it is working through, then collapses them into a Thought for ... line you can expand to see what it did. A Was Pax helpful? thumbs-up or thumbs-down now appears at the end of a conversation.
• Tag an item with more than one brand. Drive articles, files, folders, and links can carry several brands, so a document two brands share no longer has to be uploaded twice.
• See who did what to an order. Order and inbound shipment detail pages have an Activity section listing which person marked an order urgent, cleared a hold, or changed a carrier, and when. Your warehouse records every Packr change under one connection account, so this is the only place the actual person appears. See Orders.
• Choose which status "Mark Urgent" applies. When a workspace counts more than one status as urgent, admins pick which one a single Mark Urgent sets. Orders already in the other urgent statuses stay in the queue. Admin.
• Terms of Service agreement. Packr asks you to agree to its Terms of Service, and asks again if they change. See Signing in & your account.

Improved

• Drive is available on every plan. It is no longer gated behind a plan tier — the upgrade prompt is gone.
• Moving an item into a folder keeps it properly scoped. An item with no brand tags or role restrictions of its own takes on the destination folder's, so a general file dropped into a brand folder does not stay visible workspace-wide. An item that already has its own keeps them and adds the folder's, so nobody loses access to something they could see before. Packr reports how many items were re-scoped. See Drive.
• Drag files onto Drive to upload them, and switch the item list between List and Thumbnails.
• Escalate Order is now called Mark Urgent, on the order page and on Pax action cards. It does the same thing. See Orders.
• Invites show pending, expired, and accepted. The Users directory section is now Invites, with Open / Pending / Expired / Accepted filters and a status on every row. Expired invites used to sit in the list looking live, and accepted ones were not shown at all. Resending an invite also pushes back its expiry. Admin. See Members & invites.
• Resending or revoking an invite now asks you to confirm first. Admin.
• People you create directly get a set-password email. Creating accounts without an invite now emails each person a Set your password link, valid for 14 days, so you never have to invent a password for them. Packr also reports how many accounts were created and how many were emailed. Admin. See Members & invites.
• Inventory tells you when the brand you have selected is not linked to a warehouse account, instead of showing an empty list that reads as "no stock". Admins get a Connect in Settings shortcut. See Inventory.
• The Response SLA page now carries a BETA label explaining that response-time figures are still being tuned and are not ready for evaluating team performance.
• The order-detail status picker and the Create Order product picker now offer only the statuses and SKUs belonging to the order's own brand.
• The Catchup button is now spelled Catch Up.

Fixed

• Sorting the inventory table works again. Every column header was dead; selecting one now sorts, and selecting it again reverses the order. Sorting also survives the table reloading. The Sellable, Unfulfillable, and Unsellable columns have been removed: your warehouse supplies no figure behind them, so every row showed 0. The Unfulfillable filter is unaffected. See Inventory.
• Order lists are no longer empty in a newly connected workspace. A malformed request to ShipHero made the first order list of a brand-new workspace come back empty with no error.
• Opening a SKU's detail page works again. Looking up a product by SKU failed for everyone and reported "No inventory found" even when the SKU existed. It now returns the product, scoped to the brands you can see.
• Holds show immediately. Placing or clearing a hold updates the order in Packr as soon as the warehouse accepts it, rather than waiting for the next sync.
• Creating an order from Packr now sends the fields ShipHero expects, so orders that silently failed to create now go through.
• Marking everything read clears the notification bell and the activity list right away, without a refresh.
• Opening the inbox no longer freezes the live notification list in the activity panel.
• New workspaces get their starter Urgent Queue statuses when their first warehouse sync finishes, rather than only when the service happens to restart.

Security

• An order trace on the SLA screens could combine orders from different brands when the same order number existed under more than one, and only checked access against the first. It now shows a single brand's order and names that brand. Affected views were limited to a small number of workspace staff with elevated access; no brand user could reach them.
• Creating a user now checks that you are allowed to grant the role and brands you picked, closing a gap where the create-user path did not enforce those limits. Admin.

August 17–23, 2026¶

New

• Reviewed shipping errors now have a history. Marking a shipping error as reviewed moves it into a new Reviewed Shipping Errors accordion on the Brand Work Desk instead of removing it from view. Reviewed cards render muted and struck through, so you can still find an error after it has been handled. See Shipping errors & exceptions.
• An email when your first warehouse import finishes. Whoever connects a warehouse now gets a "Your ShipHero data is ready" email once the initial import completes, so nobody has to sit and watch the sync banner. Sent once per workspace. See Connecting your WMS.
• Brand and assignee on the task quick-create row. The quick-create row gained Brand and Assign chips, so a task no longer has to be opened in the full form just to set who owns it. The assignee defaults to you, and the brand fills in automatically if you only work one brand. See Creating & assigning tasks.
• Apply notification preferences to every brand at once. The Notification settings page gained an Apply to all control, so you can set All / Mentions / Mute across every brand in one action instead of card by card. See Following & mutes.

Improved

• Order numbers on shipping-error cards are now links straight through to the order.
• Desktop notification pop-ups play a short arrival chime. It is coalesced so a burst of activity does not become a burst of sounds, is desktop-only, and stays silent until your browser has seen a click on the page. See Inbox & notifications.
• Create-view and edit-view forms no longer show an empty Brand filter when you have no brands to choose between.
• New splash screens and app icons on iOS and Android.

Fixed

• Brand access is resolved correctly for brands with no warehouse customer ID set. Some non-admin users were resolving to no accessible brands rather than the brands actually assigned to them. Affected users now see their brands. See How access works.

August 10–16, 2026¶

New

• Insights is live. The workspace-wide Insights section — previously described in these docs as "coming soon" — is now available in the sidebar, gated by the insights permission and labeled BETA. See Navigating Packr.
• Draft a reply with Pax. 3PL users get a composer pill in channels and threads that drafts a reply grounded in your Knowledge articles. Pax writes the draft into the composer — it never sends anything on your behalf. See Channels & threads.
• A Pax summary card on order detail. Orders now carry a plain-English summary of what is going on with the order, plus a Next: suggested action. See Orders.
• Brand Health. A new Settings → Brand Health tab, with score buckets, weighted factors you can tune, Save formula, and Recalculate now. Scores also refresh nightly, and Directory → Brands gained a sortable HEALTH column. Admin. See Workspace settings.
• Reactivate a user without contacting support. Reactivate User is now in the product. Previously the docs told admins to contact Packr support. Admin. See Members & invites.
• Refer Packr. A new sidebar destination with an invitation form for referring other 3PLs to Packr.
• A real Access Denied page. Navigating to something you do not have permission for now lands on a clear Access Denied screen rather than failing silently.

Improved

• Message avatars show a person-preview card on click, so you can see who someone is without leaving the conversation.
• Brand detail is now a full page at Directory → Brands → \<brand>. The old "View members" dialog is gone. See Managing brands.
• Deactivating a user now signs them out everywhere immediately. Reactivating does not sign them back in — they sign in again themselves.
• Removed three placeholder fields from Company settings (Days Open, Same Day Fulfillment Cutoff, Holidays Closed) that never did anything.

Fixed

• People removed from a workspace no longer keep receiving its notifications.

August 3–9, 2026¶

Improved

• Select all / clear all brand access when inviting. Step 4 of the workspace wizard and the invite dialog gained a per-teammate Select all / Clear all toggle, and the brand list is capped at about seven rows with its own scroll region so the Send invites button stays on screen. Each teammate's row is independent. See Setting up a workspace.
• The prompt asking you to add a profile photo is now rate-limited to once a day, at most three times, instead of appearing on every visit. See Your profile.

July 27 – August 2, 2026¶

New

• Set an order's status directly. Order detail gained a status dropdown in the Properties rail that writes back to your warehouse system. Previously the docs stated you could not set status from Packr. See Orders.
• Move a task between channels. The Channel property on a task is no longer read-only — tasks can be moved between channels on the same brand. See Task details.
• Edit a pending invite. Access level and brand assignments on an invite that has not been accepted yet can now be changed, and re-inviting an address that already has a pending invite updates that invite instead of creating a duplicate. Admin. See Members & invites.
• Activity heatmap on member detail. Admins get a card showing a member's recent activity.
• Optional mobile number and consent. Step 1 of the workspace wizard and your own profile now accept a mobile number with an explicit SMS/call consent checkbox. Both are optional; clearing the number is how you opt out. See Setting up a workspace and Your profile.
• Bookmark straight from a notification. The ... menu on a notification row now offers Bookmark, and the Bookmarks list has a clearer row layout. See Bookmarks.
• Reorder brand channels. Channels can be dragged into the order you want behind the gear icon. Creating, archiving, and reordering channels are now permission-gated. See Channels & threads.

Improved

• Order search understands partial order numbers. Searching 632037 now finds #632037, results are ranked by how well they match, and live warehouse results are merged with your synced data. See Orders.
• A Tasks moved filter chip was added to the notification inbox. See Inbox & notifications.

Fixed

• Task due-date labels were showing a day early for people west of UTC.

July 20–26, 2026¶

New

• Urgent Queue on the Brand Work Desk. A new accordion in the Orders section that collects the orders you care most about. An admin turns it on per brand under Configure Views and chooses which statuses count as urgent under Settings; once it is on, everyone working that brand sees it. See Working a brand.
• A setup banner while your first warehouse import runs. Connecting a warehouse for the first time now kicks off a full import and shows a "Setting up your workspace" banner on the Brand Work Desk until it finishes, after which Packr switches to serving that data from its own synced copy. See Connecting your WMS and Syncing & data freshness.

Fixed

• The sign-in code entry field no longer double-enters digits, and backspace works correctly.

July 13–19, 2026¶

New

• Search your messages. Global search gained a Messages category that searches the full text of conversations across brand channels, sub-channels, and threads. See Navigating Packr.
• Onboarding templates library. Reusable onboarding templates now live under Settings → Workflow Templates, replacing the old Task Templates page. Admin.

Improved

• Clearer brand onboarding language. The create-brand flow now says Onboarding templates rather than "Task templates", and milestones rather than "sections". Template counts read as "milestones · items". See Managing brands.
• Account managers apply to active brands too. The account-manager picker used to appear only for brands in onboarding; it now shows for active brands as well. The people you pick are added as members and starred as the 3PL points of contact.
• The Directory → Brands view was rebuilt and gained an Account manager column.

Fixed

• The warehouse customer-account picker used when mapping a brand to your WMS was silently cut off at 100 accounts. 3PLs with more than 100 accounts now see all of them. See Brand ↔ WMS mapping.

July 6–12, 2026¶

New

• Brand status and onboarding. Brands now carry a Status of Active or Onboarding. Creating a brand lets you pick an onboarding task template and assign account managers, and brands in onboarding get their own board. See Managing brands.
• Questionnaires. Assign a questionnaire to a brand contact, have them fill it in, and review the answers from the Brand Work Desk. See Working a brand.
• Per-channel section views. The Brand Work Desk can show a different set of sections per channel, and channels used for onboarding are gated to the right audience.

Improved

• Questionnaire notifications (assigned and completed) were added to the notification type filters, and Catch Up cards gained a Bookmark action. See Inbox & notifications.

June 29 – July 5, 2026¶

New

• Share an order into a conversation. Orders can now be shared into a channel or thread as a card, the same way tasks already could. The order picker is scoped to the brands you have access to, and the card taps through to the order. See Channels & threads.
• Create accounts directly instead of inviting. The Invite people dialog gained a Create accounts directly instead link that opens a Create Users form (email, first and last name, access level, brands). The account is created immediately rather than sitting as a pending invite. Admin. See Members & invites.

June 22–28, 2026¶

New

• Workspace-enforced two-factor authentication. Admins can require every member of the workspace to confirm sign-in with an emailed code in addition to their password. Admin. See Signing in & your account.
• A real billing page. Settings → Billing now shows your month-to-date total alongside a month-by-month history, instead of a single figure with no context. Admin. See Billing & plans.
• Switch workspaces on mobile. The sidebar workspace switcher is hidden on mobile, so switching moved to your profile page under Quick Actions → Switch Workspace. See Workspaces.

June 15–21, 2026¶

Improved

• Orders and inbound shipments you create appear immediately. New records now show up in their lists right away rather than waiting for the next sync. Other edits may still take a moment to catch up visually, and the next scheduled sync reconciles every record either way. See Syncing & data freshness.

• The Supplier dropdown came up empty when creating an inbound shipment from the header + menu. The list is populated from the brand's warehouse customer account, which is set in your WMS settings. See Inbound shipments.
• Accepting a brand invitation could fail with an "unable to join" error.

June 1–7, 2026¶

New

• Bulk invites. Invite several teammates at once, each with their own access level and brand assignments, rather than one at a time. Which access levels you can hand out is bounded by your own — you cannot grant more access than you hold. Admin. See Members & invites.

Improved

• The Tasks area was rebuilt around a dedicated task view with lazy loading, so long task lists open faster and scroll smoothly. See Tasks & views.
• The sign-in, forgot-password, and reset-password screens picked up the current Packr branding, and the WMS connect step of the workspace wizard now shows the ShipHero logo.
• Order lists load 50 records per page instead of 25, matching the rest of the warehouse lists.

Fixed

• Wholesale orders were not appearing for one brand's work desk.

May 25–31, 2026¶

New

• A rebuilt sign-up and onboarding flow. Signing in and signing up now share one /start funnel. You can sign in with an emailed magic code instead of a password, and email ownership is verified before the sign-up form appears. See Signing in & your account.
• The workspace creation wizard. New workspaces are created through a guided wizard that walks you through workspace details, connecting ShipHero, importing your brands, and inviting your team. See Setting up a workspace.
• Per-recipient invites. Each invite is now issued to a specific person and attaches them to the right workspace automatically when they accept. People invited to more than one workspace get a /welcome-back screen to choose where to go.
• An activation checklist. A floating checklist tracks the setup steps still outstanding for a new workspace, and can be dismissed once you are done.
• A members tab in workspace settings. Workspace members are now listed under Settings, and selecting a member opens their detail page. Admin. See Members & invites.
• A welcome email is sent after sign-up, and pending invites can be resent.

Improved

• Creating a new workspace moved from the workspace switcher to Company settings, where the rest of workspace administration lives. See Workspaces.
• On self-serve sign-up your email address is used as your username, so there is one less thing to remember.

Security

• Invite emails no longer display the recipient's full email address to other people in the flow.
• An invite can only be accepted by the email address it was issued to.
• Sign-in magic codes are protected against brute-force guessing.
• Fixed a cross-workspace invite access issue and a path that allowed granting more access than the inviter held.

Fixed

• The code-entry screen bounced back to /start part-way through sign-up verification.
• The members list did not scroll.

Common questions¶

How often is this page updated? Weekly. A new entry is added for each completed week, newest at the top.

Why is a change I noticed not listed here? Either it was a purely internal change with no effect on what you see and do, or it is not yet live for your workspace. Changes that only affect performance, infrastructure, or Packr's own staff tools are deliberately left out.

Something on this page does not match what I see in Packr. What you can see is scoped to your role, your workspace, and the brands assigned to you, so some items will not apply to you. If a documented change should be available to you and is not, see Getting help.

Where do I see announcements inside the app? In the Packr Updates feed — the banner at the top of the app, the Packr Updates button in the sidebar, or the Release notes link in the header. See Packr Updates.
