Tasks & views

The Tasks area is where you track work across your workspace. Open it from Tasks in the navigation. Everyone in a workspace uses Tasks, whether you are a 3PL operator or a brand user.

Who can use this

Tasks is available to all roles. Everyone can view, filter, group, and save custom views; creating tasks requires the create-task permission (see below).

Overview

Tasks (also called tickets or to-dos) appear as a list you can switch, filter, and group:

  • View tabs across the top let you switch between Assigned to me (the default), All, and any custom saved views.
  • Filters narrow the list by status, priority, brand, tag, and assignees.
  • Group reorganizes a saved view into sections by priority, status, brand, due date, or assigned user.
  • Each task opens to a detail page where you can update it. See Task details.

See tasks assigned to you

The Assigned to me tab is the default view and is always the first tab. It shows your open tasks — anything assigned to you that is not yet completed.

  1. Open Tasks from the navigation.
  2. The Assigned to me tab is selected automatically.
  3. Scroll the list; more tasks load as you reach the bottom.

To see every task in the workspace instead, select the All tab. The All view shows all tasks with no filters applied (within the brands you have access to).

Note

Saved view tabs show a count badge of how many tasks match. The Assigned to me and All tabs do not show a count.

Filter your tasks

Filters narrow the list to the tasks you care about. The filter options come from the filter control in the page header.

  1. Open the filter control in the Tasks page header.
  2. Choose values for Status (All Statuses, Pending, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled), Brand (All Brands or a specific brand), and Tags (All Tags or a specific tag).
  3. The list updates to match your selections.

You only ever see tasks for brands assigned to you, so the Brand filter lists just your accessible brands. To filter by Priority or Assigned Users, build those into a saved view (see below).

Save a custom view

A saved view is a reusable tab with its own name, color, and filters. Saved views are personal to you.

  1. On the Tasks page, select the + (New view) button at the end of the view tabs.
  2. In Create View, enter a Name (for example, "Open Orders" or "High Priority").
  3. Optionally pick a Background Color for the tab.
  4. Under Filters, set any of Status, Priority, Tag, Brand, and Assigned Users.
  5. Select Create View. The new view appears as its own tab.

Edit, share, or delete a view

Open a saved view tab, then select Edit view. In the dialog you can:

  • Change the name, color, or filters, then select Save Changes.
  • Select Share View to copy it to other members in your workspace.
  • Select Delete View to remove it. Deleting returns you to Assigned to me.

Note

The Edit view button does not appear on built-in views shared across the workspace. You can still apply grouping to those views; saving a change creates your own personal copy.

Group your tasks

Grouping splits a saved view into labeled sections. Grouping is available on saved views (it is not available on the Assigned to me or All tabs).

  1. Open a saved view tab.
  2. Select the Group button.
  3. Choose None, Priority, Status, Brand, Due Date, or Assigned User.
  4. The list reorganizes into sections, each with its own task count.

Grouping by Due Date sorts tasks into Overdue, Today, This Week, Later, and No Date. Your group choice is saved with the view, so it stays the next time you open that tab.

Create a task

Select the + (Create task) button at the top of the task list to add a task inline without leaving the page. If you start from a saved view that filters by a brand, the new task is pre-filled with that brand.

Permission required

Creating tasks requires the create-task permission. If you do not see the Create task button, your role does not allow creating tasks. Ask a workspace admin. See Roles and permissions.

For full details on creating tasks, due dates, and assignees, see Creating tasks.

Tips

  • Switching tabs swaps the list instantly without reloading the page, and your active tab and scroll position are kept when you return from a task's detail page.
  • Use the Brand filter (or a brand-scoped saved view) to focus on one brand's work — the same brands you see on the Brand Work Desk.

Common questions

How do I see tasks assigned to me? Open Tasks. The Assigned to me tab is selected by default and shows your open (not completed) tasks.

How do I filter tasks? Use the filter control in the Tasks page header to narrow by Status, Brand, and Tags. To also filter by priority or specific assignees, save a custom view with those filters.

Can I save a custom task view? Yes. Select the + (New view) button, name the view, optionally pick a color, set your filters, and select Create View. It appears as its own tab and is personal to you. You can later Share View with other members.

How do I group my tasks? Open a saved view, select the Group button, and pick Priority, Status, Brand, Due Date, or Assigned User. Choose None to turn grouping off. Grouping is only available on saved views.

Why can I only see some brands' tasks? Tasks are scoped to the brands assigned to you in your workspace. You see tasks only for brands you have access to. Ask a workspace admin to adjust your brand access.
