Signing in & your account¶

This page explains how to sign in to Packr, whether you use a password or a one-time sign-in code, and how to reset or change your password. It applies to everyone — 3PL operators and brand users alike.

Overview¶

Packr uses an email-first sign-in. You start by entering your email at the Welcome to Packr screen, then Packr shows the next step that fits your account — a password, a 6-digit sign-in code, or a way to create an account. You don't pick a method up front; Packr routes you automatically.

• Sign in with a password or a sign-in code sent to your email.
• Reset a forgotten password from a link emailed to you.
• Create an account when you've been invited to a workspace.

Sign in with your email¶

Email is the front door for everyone — there's no separate "log in" versus "sign up" choice to make first.

1. Go to the Packr sign-in page (/start). You'll see Welcome to Packr and the prompt "Sign in or create an account."
2. Type your address in the Email field.
3. Select Continue.
4. Packr checks your email and shows the right next step: a Password screen, a Check your email code screen, or an account-creation screen.

Sign in with a sign-in code¶

A sign-in code (also called a one-time code or magic code) is a 6-digit number Packr emails you. It's used when your account doesn't have a password set, and it's also available as an alternative to typing your password.

1. Enter your email and select Continue. If your account uses codes, you'll land on the Check your email screen automatically.
2. Open the email from Packr and find the 6-digit code.
3. Type the code into the six boxes. The boxes advance as you type, and Packr submits automatically once all six digits are entered. You can also paste the full code into the first box.
4. Packr verifies the code and signs you in.

To use a code instead of your password: on the Password screen, select Email me a sign-in code instead, then enter the code on the Check your email screen.

Sign in with a password¶

If your account has a password, Packr shows the Welcome back screen after you enter your email.

1. Enter your email and select Continue.
2. On the Welcome back screen, type your password in the Password field.
3. Select Sign in.

If you'd rather not type your password, select Email me a sign-in code instead to receive a 6-digit sign-in code, or select Forgot password? if you can't remember it.

Reset a forgotten password¶

If you've forgotten your password, Packr can email you a reset link. Resetting works for any account that has a password.

1. On the Welcome back (password) screen, select Forgot password?. You'll reach the Forgot Password? screen.
2. Enter your email and select Send Reset Instructions. Packr always confirms it sent instructions, so check your inbox.
3. Open the email and select the reset link. It opens the Reset Password screen.
4. Enter and confirm a New Password that meets every requirement in the checklist, then select Reset Password.
5. Sign in with your new password.

Change your password¶

You can change your own password from your profile once you're signed in.

1. Open your profile (your User Details) from Settings.
2. Select Reset Password.
3. Enter and confirm a New Password that meets the requirements, then save.

Create an account (you've been invited)¶

Packr accounts are invite-based — someone adds you to a workspace, and that invite lets you set up your account. There's no open self-serve signup.

1. Open the invite link from your email, or enter your invited email at the sign-in page and select Continue.
2. If you go through the email step, Packr first emails you a 6-digit code to confirm the address; enter it on the Check your email screen. (An invite link confirms your email for you, so you may skip the code.)
3. On the account screen — titled Join [workspace name] for an invite — enter your First name, Last name, and a Password (at least 8 characters).
4. Agree to Packr's Terms and Privacy Policy, then select Create account and join (or Create account).
5. Packr signs you in and adds you to the workspace.

If you're already signed in when you open an invite link, Packr shows Accept and join instead, which adds the new workspace to your account.

Common questions¶

How do I sign in? Go to the sign-in page, enter your email, and select Continue. Packr then shows either a Password screen or a Check your email code screen — finish whichever it shows.

I forgot my password — what do I do? On the password screen select Forgot password?, enter your email, and select Send Reset Instructions. Open the emailed link and set a New Password. Or skip the password entirely and select Email me a sign-in code instead.

I never got a sign-in code. Check your spam folder first. On the Check your email screen, wait for the Resend code button to become available, then select it for a fresh code. Make sure you entered the correct email — use use a different email to retype it.

How do I create an account? Packr is invite-based. Ask a workspace admin to invite you, then open the invite link and fill in your name and password on the Join screen. See Members & invites.

Can I sign in without a password? Yes. Select Email me a sign-in code instead and enter the 6-digit code Packr sends to your email. Some accounts use codes by default and never need a password.

What are the password requirements? At least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. The checklist on the password screen shows your progress.
