Asking questions

Pax is Packr AI, the assistant built into your workspace. Ask it a question in plain language and it looks up orders, inventory, inbound shipments, and people for you, then shows the results as cards you can open.

Who can use this

Asking Pax questions is available to all roles. Pax only returns data for the workspace and the brands assigned to you, so what you see in the results is always scoped to your access.

Overview

Type a question into Pax the way you'd ask a teammate, for example "Where is order 1042?" or "How much of SKU ABC-100 do we have?". Pax searches the records you have access to and answers in two parts: a short written reply, plus one or more result cards for the records it found. Pax only returns data for the workspace and brands you can see, so you'll never get results for brands outside your access.

Ask Pax to find an order

To look up an order, ask Pax for it by order number, customer name, or status.

  1. Open Pax from the Brand Work Desk (its nav label is Home).
  2. Type your question, for example "Show me order 1042" or "What's the status of Jane Smith's order?".
  3. Press send. Pax replies with a short summary and an order card for each matching order.
  4. Select an order card to open the full order record.

Each order card shows the customer name or order number, a status chip, the order number, the carrier, and any tracking numbers. Admins also see the brand on the card.

Note

If an order number exists under more than one brand, Pax tries to open the right one directly. If it can't tell which brand you mean, the order page asks you to pick the brand first.

Check inventory with Pax

To check stock, ask Pax about a SKU or product.

  1. In Pax, type a question such as "How much of SKU ABC-100 is available?" or "Check inventory for ABC-100".
  2. Send the message. Pax replies with an inventory card for the SKU.
  3. Select the inventory card to open the full inventory record.

Each inventory card shows the SKU, On hand and Available totals, and a per-warehouse breakdown when warehouse detail is available. "On hand" is the physical count; "Available" is what's free to sell after holds and allocations.

Look up an inbound shipment

To track stock coming into the warehouse, ask Pax about an inbound shipment or its purchase order (PO).

  1. In Pax, type a question such as "Where's my inbound shipment?" or "Status of PO 5567".
  2. Send the message. Pax replies with an inbound shipment card.
  3. Select the inbound shipment card to open the full inbound shipment record.

Each inbound shipment card shows the shipment, a status chip, the warehouse, the PO number, and the expected arrival date.

Find a person

To find a teammate, ask Pax for them by name.

  1. In Pax, type a question such as "Who is Jane Smith?" or "Find the contact for Acme".
  2. Send the message. Pax replies with a user card for each match.
  3. Select the user card to open that person's profile in the directory.

Each user card shows the person's name, an Active or Inactive chip, their email, their role, and the brands they're assigned to. In the directory, brands are labelled Group (a Group is a brand).

Tips

  • Be specific. An order number, SKU, or PO number gets you a precise card faster than a vague description.
  • One question can return several cards. If Pax finds more than one match, you'll see a card for each.
  • Cards are clickable. Any card with the details you need can be opened to the full record in one tap.

Common questions

Can Pax find an order for me? Yes. Ask Pax for an order by number, customer name, or status, and it returns an order card. Select the card to open the full order. See Orders.

How do I check inventory with Pax? Ask Pax about a SKU, for example "How much of ABC-100 is available?". Pax returns an inventory card with On hand and Available totals and a per-warehouse breakdown. See Inventory.

What do the cards in Pax mean? Cards are the records Pax found for your question. There are order, inventory, inbound shipment, and user (people) cards. Each one is a button, so selecting it opens that record's full page.

Why didn't Pax find my order? Pax only searches records in your current workspace and the brands you have access to, and the order has to be synced from your WMS. Double-check the order number and that you're in the right workspace. See Data freshness.

Can Pax do more than look things up? Yes. For some records Pax can also suggest and run actions, such as updating an order. See Taking actions.
