Navigating Packr

This page is a tour of the Packr layout — the sidebar, the header actions, search, the workspace and brand switchers, and the mobile tab bar. It applies to everyone, whether you work for a 3PL or a brand.

Who can use this

Navigation is available to all roles. Everyone can use the sidebar, search, switchers, and the mobile tab bar. A few items behind the navigation (for example, some Settings screens and some Create options) depend on your role; those are flagged on their own pages.

Overview

Packr keeps your main navigation in two places. On desktop, a left sidebar holds the primary destinations and your pinned brands, and a top header holds search, the Create menu, Pax, Bookmarks, the Activity bell, and your profile. On mobile, the same destinations move into a bottom tab bar with a More menu and a floating Pax button. Your workspace and your brands each have their own switcher.

Use the sidebar

On desktop, the left sidebar is your main menu. Select any item to open it:

Below the divider you'll see your pinned brands for one-click access, and a Packr Updates button that opens the latest product announcements.

Search across Packr

Select Search in the header (or press Cmd+K on Mac / Ctrl+K on Windows) to open global search. Search looks across Brands, Orders, Inventory, Shipments, Tasks, Users, Drive, and Context, and results are grouped by type. Pick a result to jump straight to it.

Tip

The Cmd+K / Ctrl+K shortcut works from anywhere except while you're typing in a text field.

Create something with the + menu

Select the + (Create) button in the header to open the Create menu, then choose what to make:

  • Task
  • User
  • Order
  • Inbound shipment

Each choice opens a form on top of your current page, so you can create the item without leaving where you are.

Use the header actions

The right side of the header holds quick actions that open a slide-out panel or take you to your profile:

  • Pax (the sparkle button) — opens Pax, the Packr AI assistant, in a chat panel.
  • Bookmarks — opens your saved items; see bookmarks. A badge shows how many you've saved.
  • Activity (the bell) — opens your activity panel of notifications; see inbox and notifications. A badge shows unread items.
  • Your profile — the chip with your name and avatar; select it to open your profile.

Switch workspaces

A workspace is your organization's space in Packr. If you belong to more than one, switch between them from the workspace switcher at the bottom of the sidebar: select your workspace name, then pick another from the list. Packr loads that workspace's brands and conversations and returns you to Home. If you belong to only one workspace, the switcher simply shows its name. Learn more about workspaces.

Switch and find brands

To move between brands, open the brand switcher from your Home (Brand Work Desk). It lists every brand you can access, with a Search groups... box at the top. Brands are organized into your bundles first, then an Unread section for brands with new activity, then Other. Select a brand to open its work desk.

Note

On the Directory and brand switcher screens, a brand is labeled a Group (for example, Add Group). A Group is the same thing as a brand.

Pin and group your brands

Each brand row has a menu (the three-dot Manage bundle button) with options to keep your most-used brands handy and tidy:

  1. Open the brand switcher and find the brand.
  2. Select the brand's three-dot menu.
  3. Choose an action:
  4. Pin to sidebar — adds the brand to the pinned list in your sidebar for one-click access (select Unpin from sidebar to remove it). Pinning is available on desktop.
  5. Move to bundle — files the brand under one of your existing bundles.
  6. Create new bundle — makes a new bundle and moves the brand into it.
  7. Remove from bundle — takes the brand out of its current bundle.

Bundles and pins are personal to you — they organize your own view and don't change anyone else's. To stop following a brand entirely, choose Leave brand.

Warning

Leave brand removes the brand from your sidebar and stops its notifications for you. You'll need to be re-added to see it again.

On phones, the header is replaced by a bottom tab bar:

  • Home, Tasks, Knowledge, and Feedback are tabs.
  • More opens a panel with Directory and Settings.
  • The floating sparkle button opens Pax.

On mobile, Bookmarks and Activity open as their own full pages, and the workspace switcher appears as a Switch Workspace sheet. Brand pinning is a desktop feature; on mobile, use the brand switcher to move between brands.
