Inbox & notifications¶
Packr collects your messages, mentions, task updates, and shipping alerts in one place so nothing slips by. This page is for everyone — both 3PL operators and brand users.
Who is this for?
Everyone. The inbox, the notifications bell, and Catch Up are available to all roles. You only ever see notifications for brands assigned to you.
Overview¶
There are three ways to keep up with activity:
- The Notifications inbox at
/inbox— the full, filterable list where you triage everything. - The notifications bell in the navigation — opens the Activity panel, a quick view of the same list with a count of unread items.
- Catch Up — a swipe-through card stack for clearing unread notifications one at a time.
Every notification is either unread or read, and you can switch it back and forth at any time.

Open your notifications¶
The Notifications inbox is the main place to review activity.
- Go to
/inbox, or select the notifications bell in the navigation to open the Activity panel. - Browse the list. Unread items are marked; tap any row to open it.
- Select Load more at the bottom to pull in older notifications.
On desktop, the bell opens the Activity side panel on the right. On mobile, the bell sits in the top header and opens the full inbox.
Tip
The notifications bell shows an unread count badge. Once you pass 99 unread, it shows 99+.
Filter your notifications¶
The filter bar above the list lets you narrow what you see. Filters work the same in the inbox and the Activity panel.
- Use the All / Unread / Read buttons to filter by read state.
- Select the Type chip to pick notification types — for example Messages, Comments, Tasks assigned, Shipping errors, Reviews requested, or Surveys. You can choose more than one.
- Select the Brand chip to limit the list to specific brands. (A brand is shown elsewhere as a "Group" in the Directory.)
- Select Clear to reset all filters at once.
The Grouped toggle is a view preference, not a filter: when it is on, related notifications are bundled into a single row so a busy thread does not flood the list. Turning filters off with Clear keeps your Grouped preference.

Mark notifications read or unread¶
You can change the read state of any notification.
- Open a notification to mark it read, or open the ... menu on a row and choose Mark as read / Mark as unread.
- To clear several at once, long-press a row (or shift-click on desktop) to enter multi-select, tick the rows you want, then choose Mark read or Mark unread in the action bar. Use Select all on page to grab everything currently loaded.
- To clear the whole inbox, select Mark all as read at the top of the Notifications list.
Marking an item read lowers the unread count on the notifications bell; marking it unread raises it again.
Swipe to mark read (mobile)¶
On mobile you can clear notifications without opening them.
- In the Notifications list, swipe a row to mark it as read.
- The unread count on the notifications bell updates automatically.
This is the fastest way to triage on a phone — swipe through the list and only open the items that need a closer look.
Clear unread with Catch Up¶
Catch Up turns your unread notifications into a stack of cards you swipe through one at a time, like flipping through a deck. The Catchup button appears whenever you have unread notifications.
- Select Catchup at the top of the inbox or in the Activity panel.
- The header shows how many cards are Left. Each card shows who sent the item and which brand it relates to.
- Swipe a card (or use the buttons) to Mark as Read or Keep Unread.
- When the stack is empty you'll see You're all caught up — select Done to close.
Tip
On a card, select the Pax button to get a quick AI summary of a busy conversation before you decide to read or keep it.

Common questions¶
Where are my notifications?
Go to /inbox for the full Notifications list, or select the notifications bell in the navigation to open the Activity panel. The bell also shows your unread count.
What is Catch Up? Catch Up is a swipe-through card stack of your unread notifications. You review them one at a time and either Mark as Read or Keep Unread. Open it with the Catchup button, which only appears when you have unread items.
How do I mark everything as read? Open the Notifications inbox and select Mark all as read at the top of the list.
How do I filter notifications? Use the filter bar above the list: switch between All / Unread / Read, narrow by Type or Brand, and select Clear to reset. The Grouped toggle bundles related items into one row.
Why does the bell show a number? That badge is your count of unread notifications. It drops as you read or swipe items and goes back up when new activity arrives or when you mark something unread.
Can I get a notification back after reading it? Yes. Open the row's ... menu and choose Mark as unread, or use the Mark unread bulk action. The item returns to your unread count.
