Packr Updates

Packr Updates is the hub for what is new in Packr. Its Release Notes tab points you to Packr's release notes on docs.packr.io, and it also holds Feature Voting and Tutorial Videos. This page is for everyone.

Available to all roles

Everyone can open Packr Updates and read the release notes. The Feature Voting tab is for 3PL team members; brand users do not see it.

Overview

Open Packr Updates with the Packr Updates button at the foot of the left sidebar. It has three tabs:

  • Release Notes points you to the Changelog on docs.packr.io, where Packr publishes its release notes.
  • Feature Voting lists ideas for Packr that you can vote on. 3PL team members only.
  • Tutorial Videos holds videos from the Packr team that show how to use Packr. Each video can be attached to a particular screen, and its card says which one.

Feature Voting works as it always has.

Read the release notes

Packr's release notes live in the Changelog on docs.packr.io. It is updated every week with what is new, improved, and fixed.

  1. In the left sidebar, select Packr Updates. The Release Notes tab opens, with a Release notes have moved card.
  2. Select See what's new to open the changelog. On the web it opens in a new browser tab; in the mobile app it opens in the in-app browser.
  3. Select Browse the docs to open the docs.packr.io home page instead.

On desktop you can also select Changelog next to the version number in the header (hover text: "What's new in Packr"). It opens the changelog directly.

Note

Release notes used to be articles inside the app, announced with a New update banner at the top of the screen and a dot on the sidebar Packr Updates button. The banner, the dot, and the in-app articles have been removed. Earlier in-app announcements are not carried over.

A video attached to a screen also plays in that screen's ? Help panel, so you can watch it without leaving your work. You only see videos for screens you have access to. See Getting help.

Ask Pax what's new

On the Release Notes tab, select Ask Pax what's new. Pax opens and answers from the docs.packr.io changelog, with a card that links to the page it used. You can also ask Pax "What's new in Packr?" from anywhere in the app. See Asking questions.

Common questions

Where do I see what is new in Packr? In the Changelog on docs.packr.io. Open it from Packr Updates → Release Notes → See what's new, or from the Changelog link in the header.

Where did the New update banner go? It was removed. Packr publishes its release notes only in the docs.packr.io changelog now, so there is no in-app banner or unread dot to clear.

Can I still read the announcements that used to be in the app? No. Announcements published inside the app are not carried over. The changelog covers every week from May 25, 2026 onward.

Does Pax know what is new? Yes. Ask Pax "What's new in Packr?" and it answers from the changelog, with a link to the page.
