Surveys overview¶
The Feedback area is where you find, answer, and send surveys in Packr. Everyone in a workspace can open it to give feedback or respond to a survey sent to them; people with the right permission can also create and share surveys.
Who can use this
The Feedback area is available to all roles. Everyone can browse and answer surveys and respond to invites; creating, sharing, and viewing results require the matching survey permissions (see below).

Overview¶
Open Feedback to land on the Surveys tab, which is the home of the Feedback area. From here you can:
- Browse the surveys available in your workspace and open one to respond.
- See Your Pending Invites — surveys someone sent specifically to you.
- Tell at a glance whether a survey is a Form or a Chat, and whether it is Private.
- Create and share surveys, if your role allows it.
Each survey shows a type badge and, where relevant, a Private badge. Select a survey card to start answering it.
Understand survey types: Form vs Chat¶
Every survey is one of two types, shown as a badge on its card:
- Form — a structured questionnaire. You answer a set of questions using text boxes, star ratings (1 to 5), single- or multiple-choice options, and date pickers. When you finish, you select Submit Feedback.
- Chat — a conversational survey. Instead of a fixed form, Pax (Packr AI) asks questions in a back-and-forth chat and you reply in your own words. When you have said everything you want to, select I'm Done.
Both types collect the same kind of feedback; the format just differs. You don't choose the type when answering — it is set when the survey is created.
Understand private vs public surveys¶
A survey's visibility controls who can answer it:
- Public survey — open to people across the workspace and can also be sent to outside recipients by email. A public survey has no special badge.
- Private survey — restricted to the specific people, brands, or roles it was sent to. A private survey shows a Private badge with a lock icon on its card, and it can only be sent to selected users, brands, or roles (not to "everyone" and not to ad-hoc email addresses).
Note
A brand is sometimes labelled Group on other screens in Packr. When a survey is sent to a brand, it reaches the people assigned to that brand.
Answer a survey¶
You can respond to any survey listed on the Surveys tab.
- Open Feedback and stay on the Surveys tab.
- Find the survey you want to answer and select Give Feedback on its card (or select the card itself).
- If it is a Form, fill in each question. Required questions are marked with an asterisk (). Select Submit Feedback* when done.
- If it is a Chat, reply to Pax in the chat box. When you have finished, select I'm Done.
After you submit, Packr shows a thank-you confirmation.

Find surveys sent to you¶
When someone sends you a survey, it appears under Your Pending Invites at the top of the Surveys tab. Each invite shows the survey title and when you were invited.
- Open Feedback -> Surveys.
- Look for the Your Pending Invites section near the top of the page.
- Select an invite to open and answer that survey.
- To clear an invite without answering, select the trash icon on it to dismiss the invitation.
If you don't have any open invites, this section is hidden.
Create or share a survey¶
Creating and sharing surveys is permission-gated, so not everyone sees these controls.
Operators
Creating surveys is available to roles with the survey-creation permission. The Create Survey button only appears for those users.
- To start a new survey, select Create Survey at the top of the Surveys tab. For the full walkthrough, see Creating surveys.
- To send an existing survey, select Share on its card and choose recipients — Users, Brands, Roles, or (for public surveys only) All — then select Send Invitations.
Note
The Share option and the See Results / Delete Survey menu only appear if your role has the matching permission. See Roles and permissions.
Tips¶
Tip
The Packr Feedback survey is a built-in survey for sharing feedback about Packr itself. It appears as a highlighted row beneath your workspace's surveys.
Tip
To review what people have submitted, open a survey's menu and select See Results. See Responses and analytics.
Common questions¶
What are surveys for? Surveys let you collect structured feedback from people in your workspace — and, for public surveys, from outside recipients by email. Use them to check in on onboarding, communication, shipping, service levels, or anything else you want to hear about.
What is a public survey? A public survey is open to people across the workspace and can also be sent to email recipients outside Packr. By contrast, a Private survey (marked with a lock badge) is limited to the specific users, brands, or roles it was sent to.
What's the difference between a Form survey and a Chat survey? A Form survey is a fixed questionnaire you fill in and submit. A Chat survey is a conversation with Pax (Packr AI) where you answer in your own words and select I'm Done when finished.
Where do I see surveys sent to me? Open Feedback -> Surveys and look under Your Pending Invites at the top of the page. Select an invite to answer it, or use the trash icon to dismiss it.
Why can't I see the Create Survey or Share button? Those actions are permission-gated. If your role doesn't include survey creation or sharing, the buttons are hidden. Check with a workspace admin or see Roles and permissions.
